Mariah Snapp

Mariah Snapp, LCSW, founder, has over 15 years experience as a psychotherapist, school counselor, clinician, and program manager. Creative Solutions Counseling looks forward to meeting with you and your child. We believe that everyone’s reason for seeking help is different and will meet you where you are.

Mariah Snapp graduated from The University of Kentucky with a Master’s in Social Work in 2009. Before this, she attended Morehead State University and earned her Bachelor’s of Social Work. She  has extensive experience working with children and adolescents. She worked for 9 years with children who had experienced some form of trauma (abuse or neglect). During 2 of those 9 years, she created and supervised a program working in the schools to provide therapy to at-risk youth and their families. In 2015 , she moved to Fort Worth, Texas and began her therapy career at Cook Children's Medical Center providing therapeutic services to patients who had cystic fibrosis. In this role, she provided therapy to those diagnosed with a chronic medical condition and addressed their mental health needs while helping them understand the link to their physical health. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused brief therapy, as well as play in her approaches to therapy.  In her free time she enjoys to read, run, and spend time with her husband and 3 children.

Heather Alexander

Heather Alexander, LPC, has worked in education for more than 25 years-as a licensed athletic trainer, an educator and for the last 15 years, as a high school counselor. She completed her undergraduate degree at TCU and earned her Master’s Degree from TWU. She has worked in the high school setting throughout her career, but has also worked with younger students and adults. While her driving theory is Adlerian, she works to meet clients where they are, with the therapeutic tools best suited to the growth and progress of the client. These tools include elements of cognitive behavioral strategies, solution focused approaches as well as mindfulness and self regulation awareness. The use of analogy and the ability to relate the client’s experiences to outside interests is a particular gift that allows her to relate to clients from unique perspectives and often results in a quick rapport that allows the therapeutic relationship to be a safe and welcoming environment. Her interests are reading, movies, TCU football, and spending time with her family and friends.
