Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my child needs therapy?
Every child will experience some ups and downs. They may struggle for a bit academically, have trouble with friends, or be moody. However, when these problems begin to overlap in multiple settings (i.e school, friendships, family) this can be an indicator to seek help. If you notice your child seems hopeless, withdrawn, has excessive worry, or change in sleep and eating habits you should seek help. Seeking help isn’t always easy and that’s why I am here to help make this process as easy as possible.
Do you take insurance?
I do accept insurance. Visit my “Insurance Accepted” page.
Will I be allowed in the therapy sessions with my child?
No. Therapy works best when the child has my undivided attention and feels comfortable that what they say is confidential. I will brief you of some things we worked on or learned in session. I will also bring you into session if there is a safety concern that you need to know about. If things come up that require some family work, I will make sure you are invited into session.
